t h e m a y f i l e s is foremost a family blog, chronicling everyday life. Life including natural, healthy eating (with recipes thrown in at random), home educating (with ideas popping up sporadically), an attempt to homestead on .2 acres (with very meager yields), raising 3 of 4 children with a rare genetic disorder, and lots of highly personal family triumphs and failures. You may also find an eclectic array of musings on politics, exercise, sewing, emergency preparedness, backyard chickens, and religion. This blog isn't a campaign to glorify anyone or anything. Just simply a record.

Link to Photos of Airport Scanners

Here is a link so you can see somewhat of what the photos look like taken in these machines. The images are of course blurred for the media. I didn't want to post the actual photos on my blog. Too graphic.


This is what the machine looks like if you see it in an airport. Many people have no idea, I think what they are walking into.


Do a few simple searches and you can decide for yourself. The media glosses over this, and uses all sorts of euphemisms. Some people are not alarmed. I am. This has bothered me for some time, but my experience last week lit the flame.
